2014 CMC Recap

We wanted to give this little recap to highlight some of the things accomplished during the first CMC in September of 2014, and give a sense of what happened for those who weren’t able to make it. The convergence had roughly 200 participants along with 67 endorsing organizations from cities like Moscow ID, San Francisco, Seattle, Olympia, Eugene and more. There were 26 “traditional” workshops, along with several strategy based sessions where participants talked about particular topics which people were interested in collaborating on going forward from the convergence. There was a particularly strong turn out from community radio stations with roughly 20 taking part.

We think the first convergenceĀ  accomplished it’s goal of bringing together experienced media makers along with those interested in learning from throughout the region to share knowledge, and seek out ways for greater collaboration moving forward. We hope to build on momentum from last year’s convergence as we organize for this year’s.
